About the Log House Museum
Sharing the Stories of West Seattle
Built in 1904 and now a designated Seattle landmark, the Log House Museum serves as the home of the Southwest Seattle Historical Society.
The museum interprets the layered history of the Duwamish Peninsula, sharing stories of Coast Salish peoples, early settlers, longtime residents, and the evolving neighborhoods of West Seattle.
With exhibits, archives, walking tours, and year-round programs, the museum is dedicated to preserving local history and engaging the community in meaningful ways.
